114 Rafale Jets होंगे IAF के MRFA Program के लिए सबसे बड़ा Option: Air Chief Marshal A P Singh
Indian Air Force (IAF) Chief Air Chief Marshal A P Singh ने साफ कहा है कि Rafale fighter jet अब भी Medium Multi-Role Fighter Aircraft (MRFA) program के लिए सबसे logical और combat-proven choice है।
IAF ने पिछले decade में MMRCA trials के दौरान Rafale को winner चुना था क्योंकि इस jet ने cost-effectiveness, combat capability और logistics integration में बाकी competitors को पीछे छोड़ दिया था। इस legacy evaluation की वजह से अब Rafale को दोबारा extensive testing की जरूरत नहीं है।
Rafale: Proven और Ready Platform
IAF के पास पहले से ही 36 Rafale jets operational हैं — Ambala और Hasimara airbases पर दो full squadrons पूरी तरह active हैं।
इन jets के साथ IAF ने पूरा ecosystem तैयार किया है — training, maintenance, weapons integration, और infrastructure।
अब अगर 114 और Rafales लिए जाते हैं, तो नए platform के लिए duplicate logistics या cost की जरूरत नहीं होगी, जिससे faster induction और budget efficiency मिलेगी।
Make in India Factor और Industrial Partnership
IAF ने MRFA deal के लिए साफ कहा है कि “Make in India” सबसे बड़ा factor होगा।
Dassault Aviation, जो Rafale बनाती है, India में local production expand करने और Indian companies के साथ technology share करने के लिए तैयार है।
इसके अलावा Lockheed Martin (F-21), Boeing (F/A-18 Super Hornet) और Eurofighter Typhoon भी India में technology transfer और indigenous assembly line की पेशकश कर रहे हैं, ताकि IAF को modern options मिल सकें।
Why Rafale Is Leading the Race
हालांकि IAF ने कहा है कि वो दूसरे options के लिए open है, लेकिन Rafale की familiarity और combat record उसे front-runner बनाती है।
F-21 इंडिया के लिए खास version है, F/A-18 Navy के लिए carrier compatibility देता है, और Eurofighter consortium-based technology offer करता है — पर operational ease और readiness के हिसाब से Rafale आगे है।
IAF Strength और Future Plans
IAF के पास अभी करीब 30-31 fighter squadrons हैं जबकि जरूरत है 42 squadrons की।
पुराने MiG-21 और Jaguar jets retire हो रहे हैं, इसलिए 114 नए Rafales आने से IAF को 6 और squadrons मिलेंगे।
ये gap भरने में मदद करेगा जब तक indigenous projects जैसे TEJAS MK-2 और AMCA (Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft) पूरी तरह operational नहीं हो जाते।
Strategic Impact for India
MRFA का फैसला सिर्फ IAF की ताकत तय नहीं करेगा बल्कि India की aerospace manufacturing और defence ecosystem को अगले 30 साल तक shape करेगा।
अगर Rafale चुना गया, तो India और France के बीच industrial ties और strategic partnership और मजबूत होंगी।
वहीं अगर कोई दूसरा contender चुना गया, तो India को broader global defence collaborations मिल सकते हैं।

114 Rafale jets का selection India के लिए सिर्फ एक fighter deal नहीं बल्कि defence industrial revolution का हिस्सा हो सकता है।
